Childers – The Full Story
Childers – The Full Story podcast was launched in May 2020 to honour and pay tribute to the 15 victims, 69 survivors and the Childers community through the 20th anniversary of the Palace Backpacker Hostel fire in the small regional Queensland town. It quickly generated significant media interest around the world and charted in more than 40 countries. It has had more than one million downloads and peaked at number 1 on the Australian charts. It was short-listed as a finalist in the Australian Podcast Awards.
